Biografi DragonForce
DragonForce adalah sebuah band beraliran Power Metal dari London, yang di bentuk pada tahun 1999. Mereka di kenal dengan solo gitar yang cepat, lirik berdasarkan fantasi, dan suara-suara elektronik untuk menambahkan retro video game mereka sebagai rujukan.
Formasi ( 1999 – 2002 ).
DragonForce didirikan oleh Herman Li dan Sam Totman dengan nama Dragon Heart. Mereka berdua kemudian menemukan seorang vokalis ZP Theart melalui iklan, segera setelah itu mereka merekrut Matej Setinc sebagai drumer, Steve Scott sebagai bassist dan Steve William pada Keyboard. Sonic Firestorm (2004-2005).
band follow-up The album, Sonic Firestorm , terbukti menjadi lebih sukses dengan lead single” Fury of the Storm”. Sonic Firestorm adalah album pertama yang menampilkan Dragonforce Adrian Lambert pada bass dan Dave Mackintosh pada drum. Ketika Mackintosh masuk band pada tahun 2004, mereka mulai mengacu pada gaya musik mereka sebagai “power metal ekstrim” karena blastbeats cepat dan irama double bass. Lagu ” Through The Fire and Flames ”adalah salah satu lagu mereka yang paling terkenal dan fitur pada game Guitar Hero III dan Guitar Hero: Smash Hit . Lindsay dawson mantan teman satu band Herman Li dan Sam Totman , Demoniac, muncul sebagai vokalis cadangan untuk album ini. Sebelum rilis album,bassis, Adrian Lambert, meninggalkan kelompok untuk membesarkan anak baru lahir pada bulan November 2005. Ia digantikan dengan Frederic Leclercq untuk sisa Sonic Firestorm Tour. Frederic kemudian menjadi anggota resmi band pada Januari 2006. Dia juga tampil dalam’s video musik band untuk single kedua mereka off Inhuman Rampage, Operasi Ground and Pound . Inhuman Rampage adalah favorit umum di antara penggemar Dragonforce karena sond yang berat dan kompleksitas lagu-lagu di dalamnya. The ‘Through The Fire and Flame’ single disc mencapai status emas di Amerika Serikat dan Kanada.
Ultra Beatdown (2008-2009).
Band melakukan tur dengan Diturbed dan Slipknot sepanjang musim panas tahun 2008 di Rockstar Energy Metal Mayhem Festival.. Band ini kembali pada musim semi dengan merilis album studio 4 mereka, Ultra Beatdown . Track dan single pertama, ” Heroes Of Our Time ”, dinominasikan untuk Grammy Award untuk Best metal Performance pada tanggal 3 Desember 2008, kalah dari METALLICA dengan lagu mereka ” My Apocalypse ”. Sebuah versi singkat ” Heroes Of our Time “juga ditampilkan dalam video game Skate 2 dan versi lengkap dalam NHL 10.
Pada tanggal 22 Januari 2009, video musik untuk lagu mereka “The Journey Last Home” dirilis ke Komunitas Xbox Life seminggu sebelum dirilis secara online.
Dragonforce melakukan Ultra Beatdown tur di Amerika Latin , Amerika Utara dan Eropa . Mereka seharusnya bermain di Amerika Latin pada Mei 2009, tapi tour itu ditunda sampai akhir 2009. Mereka tampil di Festival Dua Hari Minggu di Weisen, Austria pada tanggal 4 September. Kemudian, dilakukan mereka di beberapa kota di Kanada dan Amerika Serikat dari 15 September – 11 Oktober, dengan bintang tamu khusus Sonata Arctica dan Taking Dawn. tur berikutnya adalah di Jerman , dari 16 Oktober 30 Oktober diikuti dengan live performance tunggal di Luksemburg pada tanggal 31 Oktober. Album baru dan keberangkatan Theart (2010 - Sekarang).
Herman Li telah menyatakan bahwa Dragonforce akan berhenti tur pada bulan Desember, menghabiskan waktu di rumah untuk Natal, dan kemudian akan mulai menulis dan merekam album studio baru yang dijadwalkan akan dirilis pada tahun 2011.
Pada tanggal 22 Februari 2010, band ini kembali merilis dua album, “Valley of the Damned” dan “Sonic Firestorm.” Valley of the Damned termasuk baru remix dan remaster trek sedangkan kedua album termasuk bonus track, kemasan diperbaharui dan DVD yang menampilkan cuplikan hidup, komentar, dan banyak lagi.
